Afton man hurt in Waynesboro car accident.
Two people were taken to the hospital last Tuesday after a two-vehicle crash in Waynesboro, VA.
Walter Radney of Afton, VA was taken by helicopter to University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA with a neck injury after his green Jeep Grand Cheroke had an accident with a white Nisson Altima driven by Tina Davenport of Stuart’s Draft, VA, who was taken to Augusta Health in Fishersville, VA for minor injuries.
The accident happened at the intersection of Rosser Avenue and Lew DeWitt Boulevard, which police say is one of the most dangerous in the city. In 2008, almost 25% of Waynesboro’s 400 accidents happened at this intersection.
Radney was driving east on Lew Dewitt when he crashed into Davenport, according to police.
