The Culpeper Star-Exponent reports: Two injured in U.S. 29 wreck .
According to the Virginia State Police, around 12:45 pm, Hamideh Fahoul, 19, swerved around a slowing vehicle making a right-hand turn into the Battlefield Ford car dealership on the southbound side of U.S. Route 29. Fahoul’s 1996 Honda Accord then ran off the left side of the road, lost control and was struck in the rear by a tractor-trailer.
Fahoul was issued a summons for reckless driving, and she and her passenger, Fardin Jamacreca, 23, were taken to Culpeper Regional Hospital for injuries. Fahoul’s Honda suffered extensive rear-end damage and along the passenger side. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
Sgt. Les Tyler of the Virginia State Police noted that everyone was wearing seat belts. “This probably attributed to no one being seriously injured in this accident,” he said.
