Memorial Day weekend fatalities down | Virginia car accident lawyer
The Richmond Times Dispatch reports Memorial Day weekend fatalities down.
Virginia State Police reported just three car accident deaths this year during Memorial Day weekend in Virginia. This brings the total to 257 as compared to 317 last year.
One of these involved 70-year-old Aliene Lockhart who died at a local hospital after the car she was in was hit by another vehicle. The accident occurred in Bluefield, VA at the intersection of US Rt 460 and State Rt 1509. She was wearing a seat belt.
There were also single vehicle deaths in Bland County and Pittsylvania County.
Though it is an awful thing to hear of these unfortunate accident victims dying, the good news is that there are many fewer people who lost their lives this year on this holiday weekend.
