A fatal accident involving a SUV and a school bus is currently being investigated by Richmond, Virginia police.
The driver of the SUV, Karl Anthony McClendon, 46, of Richmond, died at scene which occurred on Tuesday, May 10th. The passengers in Anthony’s vehicle had minor injuries while the students and bus driver were not injured.

According to the Virginia Highway Safety Office, in 2009 there were 523 driver and passenger fatalities in the state. Of that number, 46 of the deaths occurred in the 46-50 age range. The majority of deaths occurred in the 21-25 age range.
