Richmond sees an enormous amount of traffic on I-95, a highway that has seen a lot of construction. This construction puts drivers at a higher risk for accidents, whether because people are driving erratically to avoid the construction or because people are slowing down to get a better look at the construction.
“We’ve got probably hundreds of thousands of people come through Richmond on 95, that’s a major road to Florida. I was on the interstate yesterday and there’s was just a little, I mean it was nothing going on the opposite side of the interstate and traffic going on the side that I was on was almost to standstill just because the people were rubber necking looking across the road at the other lanes.
It doesn’t even have to be construction but there is major construction going on in Richmond out on Interstate 95 that, like they’ll spend the whole weekend redoing some of the bridges in Richmond.”
